"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, & narrow-mindedness, and many of our
people need it solely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of
men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one corner of the earth all
one's lifetime." -- Mark Twain

Not Quite Official...

So here is what is going on so far...

I am unofficially officially part of the QISS team. I am included in all emails sent to the staff, allowed to put my two cents in regarding curriculum, and even asked about what science equipment I would like to order. I have also been added to the school website introduction of the new teachers for the 2010-2011 school year.

Here is the link to the introductions if you would like to check out my introduction, along with some of the peeps I will be working along side of.

It is still unofficial for a couple of reasons. My actual contract has not been signed. It is currently in route via DHL and I should have it by Friday. I then sign it and send it back to China. From that point on, the only thing that could keep me from going is Noah's passport. I have not yet received it. And while I am sure that I will get it, it still makes me nervous that there is some technicality that could keep me from receiving it.

Because of this, I am still not comfortable in my mind, that I am safely off to China. When I receive Noah's passport in hand, it will be a for sure thing and I can really celebrate.

So here is to hoping and praying that I get the passport sooner rather than later and I will be able to relax and truly prepare for the adventure.
